Kircudbright

This morning my sister and I headed off to Dumfries and Galloway for a weekend away. We spent most of the day in Kircudbright, known as ‘The Artists’s Town’. There are so many lovely galleries and craft shops to see, we fitted in as many as we could before visiting National Trust for Scotland’s Broughton House, the home of Scottish painter  E. A. Hornel (1864-1933). As well as his paintings, his studio and his collections from his travels, the Japanese influenced garden was wonderful.
