Admiring the Roses

Woke up this morning to find out through an email that the hearing had been moved at the last minute from Thursday to... today!  In short, by the time I got out of bed, it had long been finished.  Never mind, the email was from the Viking and contained a summary of the proceedings.  It was very informative.  In short... I need to fly to MNL.

This thought went through my head the whole day.  Checked the bank and it's 'all systems go'.  Waiting for more emails to confirm that this is what I need to do.  Thankful my MOOC subscription was only for a month!  Anyway, I most likely will have to fly in June.  The Viking will first need to make appointments in MNL on my behalf.  It won't be a holiday but a business trip.  A very, very short trip of no more than a couple of nights.  The trip is being viewed as an investment.

Housekeeping, kitchen duties, supermarket errands, and after dinner, AW left for Tuesday evening bridge and I had the house to myself for a few hours.  Despite my reluctance, I find myself thankful I'll now have the opportunity to visit whatever it is I have to visit and sign in person whatever it is I need to sign.
