I started taking photographs when I was in my early teens using a completely manual SLR and 50mm lens. The simplicity of the camera was astonishing, but it was fitted with a TTL meter so I could at least produce images of the correct exposure.

My favourite film formats back then were black & white (ASA400) and colour transparencies (ASA64). The film and processing costs were all met by my dear parents - thanks Mum and Dad.

Other hobbies came and went so my photography took a long hiatus until I bought a Nikon F80 SLR a few years ago. This rekindled my passion for taking photographs.

More recently I purchased a Canon DSLR and Canon 100-400mm L series lens. Taking pictures is a joy with this set-up and I hope to share some of my photographs with you here on this webspace.

I have a few other pictures here.

Thanks for reading this.
