unfolding as it should

the end of the beginning

From this group, I learned about compassion and how to execute it with business tactics. I learned how practical work can pave the way for misconceptions and preconceptions to be broken down. I learned how societal norm has a whole different meaning...in that there shouldn't be a definite meaning. I learned how universal expectation can limit a child's opportunity to thrive. What is 'normal/usual' should be conformed to the individual and not the other way around. I also learned that there is a dedicated bunch out there who are committed to expand access and is patient enough to do it one meeting/one agenda item/one phone call/one email at a time...even though there isn't a clear path in front of them.

Today was my last day and I became overwhelmed with the responses that came my way. Providers whom I've spoken with in the past suddenly appeared again. Moment by moment I realized that the need is apparent. I am confident however, that this bunch knows what they are doing, and I can't wait to help out again in the near future.
