Today, my friends baby Louie was born. Gone seem to be the days of getting a baby picture through the door with an invitation to meet the new member of the family. No sooner than the little man was out in the world was he immortalised for us all to see on Facebook.

The comment made by setting up this photo isn't a criticism, just literally an observation of changing times. It's amazing that we can all witness so much so soon, but I personally feel it's a little remote and removes us from the actual excitement of meeting the baby for the first time in the flesh.

I guess that's a selfish point of view, I'm the observer, one of the many 'likes' and 'comments' and not the proud parents. If it were me...would I do the same?...probably yes....and it's very likely it would be my favourite blip! So there you go.
