Ready For A Terribly Joke?

What is a geomorphologist's favourite food?
Alluvial Flan!

Yes, I know, it was bad, and the photo isn't that exciting either.

Though I must admit, I do find it interesting. Alluvial fans and the processes that formed them, the subsequent erosion of them. I like the mechanics behind it.

The only problem is I get sidetracked, with other bits of information: glaciation - fault lines - graptolites - folded strata - etc. etc. etc.

That is the blessing and the curse of the internet. There is just soo much information, that it's not always that easy to take it in.

Though if anyone out there can shed some light on what the strange scar/ line up the right hand side of the feeder channel is... it almost looks like another channel and smaller fan?

I can provide a larger copy if anyone wants.
