Sunday afternoon on a beach in Barbados

In France they say look for the places where the locals eat if you want good food at a reasonable price.

So it is with beaches in Barbados. Only a few minutes walk from the town centre this beach is a magnet for locals.

Most visitors opt for the fashionable resorts further away where prices rocket but we were recommended this one and we were not disappointed.

Later I learn that racehorses were seen bathing some half a mile away - now that would have made a good blip pic!
