Rusty nuts

Plotted out a new novel this morning. Now all I need do is research and write it. I've done some of the research already and some of the stuff I just know as its mostly set in the North of England, our old stomping ground. It'll be a good excuse to travel to some of the locations in the summer.

Did some pontificating after lunch - paid pontificating which made a change - then took the dogs to the military land near Pirbright. It was a nothing kind of an afternoon. The sun broke through briefly at lunch time but took one look at this cold weather and decided to go back to bed, burying itself under the cloud.

I also played the boys' new game, Ninja Bear and Purple Teddy, published yesterday. The first levels are pretty easy and then it begins to get hard, requiring quite a bit of lateral thinking. All three of the boys were involved in this one.

Today's blip is these three rusty nuts artified in the processing. Gill said she preferred them without the treatment but I like this filter that brings out the colour and the pitted rust marks.

We're looking forward to more snow, possibly overnight which will be good since there's an FT "old lags" walk tomorrow along the River Wey from Guildford. Should be plenty of blipping opportunities there but I can't take Pippa, our Jack Russell, since the lunchtime pub doesn't accept dogs. Still its best to keep her away from icy ponds and canals just now so we're adjusting our walks to keep her out of trouble.
