Orange on the inside

We went for a walk to try to find Balquhidderock Wood (any help with pronunciation greatly appreciated!) which is about a mile away from where we live. A bit of map confusion led to an hour wandering round suburban Stirling housing estates before we eventually got there. Apparently it is great for bluebells, but it's still too early for them. We did find this fallen tree which was very very orange on the inside, I've never seen anything like this before.

We'll try to go back, a bit more directly next time, when the bluebells are out.
