Hello - is there anybody there?

There was a temporary blip in proceedings this week when the workmen (remember the piles of bricks last week - March 19) accidentally cut the phone line rendering me incommunicado. Putting my best foot (left) forward, I went on an expedition to find out what was happening and was pleasantly surprised to come across a man from Belgacom brandishing tools and a walkie talkie. Internet access and phone line now fully restored, I realise that being without a telephone and the internet for two days is more isolating than eight weeks stuck in the house with a broken foot!
