Capturing my Journey

Patient Calum

Another picture of livestock, Calum the highland bull waiting patiently for his silage while the hebridean sheep come trotting up to the trailer. Calums friend Luey the bull is already snacking out the trailer, he obviously couldn't wait! This is the only photo I managed to take today as the rest of the feeding was done in the pouring rain and it hasn't stopped all day! By the time I finished feeding and walking dogs I was cold and a wee bit wet! Hope its going to be drier tomorrow. Had to move the cows at the other farm into a different hill park to find more shelter from this wind direction. As I was doing this I noticed the final calving cow that was still out the hill and hadn't come in last time and she was near a gate. Thankfully I had Breagh with me as she was standing with two bullocks who are meant to stay out the hill. I carefully shedded her from the bullocks and called Breagh in to keep the bullocks away whilst I walked the cow through the gate. This cow I know by name she is called Diana and is easily recognisable. Think she was glad to be in and getting her silage.
