Capturing my Journey

Heading out

I took this when heading out the hill to get my hoggs (last years lambs) in. I have been waiting for a slot in the weather to bring them in and now its turned decidedly cold I just went for it. There isn't much point in gathering in sheep in bad weather or strong winds as they want to shelter and don't want to come in. We had a lucky break in the snow/hail showers to get them in with the wind behind us. They were still very sticky and reluctant to move and needed constant dog pressure to keep them moving. They were a wee bit naughty when we were almost in but we had them under control. They have had their fluke dose and are now on the easier in-bye grazing. I will feed them quite well now to get them growing well so they can be tupped this year. Pleased to say that after a head count and a check with the records that they are all present and correct! I recognised some cheeky pet lambs in the bunch!!

The weather has progressively deteriorated as the morning went on and by the time I was tidying up the shed there was thunder and lightening and very heavy showers!

I liked the movement in the clouds and the pink skyline. There are couple of collies in it on the track too!
