John, Mom and an iPhone

Please take a look at my funny birds from yesterday, if you have the time.

My brother John came down from Albuquerque, New Mexico for a brief visit and he and mom stopped over to see me.  Of course, cameras had to pop out.  I had been out with my zoom lens attempting (and failing) to take photos of anything that may fly, perch or walk into my backyard.  He reached for his iPhone.

John decided he would take pictures of us and make prints of them for Mom.  As he held up his phone to take a photo of the two of them together, she began to quiz him on what he was doing.  So what you see here is an explanation of how a phone can be switched to take selfies...how a camera can not only point away from you but also at you!  She was amazed.

Of course, she would be taken with almost anything John did.  You see, he is the 'baby' of the family, almost a decade younger than me and six years younger than the next to last.  As the only child for much of his youth, the rest of us know that "the towhead angel" subconsciously  is really mom's favorite.   :-)
