Well.

Well well.

Some while back we bought a Scanpan knife. Some while later I used that knife to cut some cheese (just cheddar, not hard). The handle on that knife snapped. The blade took a small nick out of the laminate benchtop (which is bright yellow and not really our thing in any case). Nothing for it but we need new benchtops.

Do we go laminate or caesarstone? Hmmm ... what are these undermount sinks that have to have a stone benchtop? ... OMG ... Caesarstone it is then.

Right, so, benchtops and sink then. Oh, and let's widen the space there for a bigger fridge too. OK. Done.

Wait ...

Caesarstone is thinner than our current benchtop. The oven will sit too high. No worries; it'll be adjustable. OK.

What about the wall tiles which come down to the level of the benchtops?

Oh....

Let's go to a kitchen place "just to find out about benchtops and stuff".

And stuff...

"Are you completely happy with your current layout?" ...

Well...

Now that you mention it ...

Ok then, new kitchen it is.

So we should go and suss out new oven and rangehood and dishwasher at the same time then?

Ok... Wow...

Hey, as long as we're going to re-do the whole kitchen, why don't we take out a bit of the wall there and make a walk-in pantry too?

Well I suppose...

OMG ... anyway, here's one of the kids who were so patient in the kitchen showroom yesterday and appliance shop today.

Oh, taken btw using my Soligor 1:2.8 35mm. I'm beginning to think I might like 35mm most best in terms of FL.
