Gwaun Celyn WI

Another stop on the Walton Garden Bird Talk World Tour 2015 today.

A matinee performance at Gwaun Celyn WI in Church Village, so a local one!

As you can see from the photo I had to employ a YTS kid to press the space bar to make the slide show move along today. Dawn was working so my usual roadie and tour manager wasn't present. He didn't do too bad, and got the timings on most of the slides right!

The pressure was really on today, as my mum was present too.

I nailed it again this afternoon. It is almost second nature now (pardon the pun), and got loads of lovely feedback at the end. For the second talk in succession a couple of people came up to me and said that they weren't going to come as the talk was on garden birds and that they weren't that interested, but were really glad they did as they found it such a load of fun and interesting.

My whole talk is based on the ethos of the TV show QI .. there are no stodgy facts and figures, only when need be, the rest of it are factiods that hopefully stick in your head and you can impress your friends with at a later date!
