Sleety squalls with wind gusting to 40mph.
That was the weather report, and it wasn't wrong.
This is Chris holding his hat on, leaning against the wind. The weather was horrible.
Sally and I did the first top, looked at the clouds rolling in and decided to leave Chris & Raymond to do Ben Oss without us. We headed back down the hill following the GPS way markers I'd collected on the way up. So that we were able to find the foot bridge back over the river with ease and got safely back to the car without mishap.
Since we were going to have a couple of hours to wait on the lads we went into Tyndrum for a coffee.
You should have heard Sally laugh when we went to pick up the lads and found them shivering in the car park. They'd done Ben Oss, headed back down the hill but missed the fire track leading to the foot bridge. Instead they kept going and hit the river right at the bottom of the hill. Decided they couldn't be bothered to walk back up so stripped to their scanties and waded the river in full spate.
Wallies.
