Garage clear-out

With the approach of winter, it comes early in Scotland not that you would have thought it today with the glorious weather nevertheless I am not one to be seduced by this warm spell and I know from experience that winds and gales, snow and ice lurk around the corner.

So it is that I began the process of emptying the garage in the hope that I might make room for my car. There is nothing worse than having to de-ice a vehicle in sub-zero temperatures.

Well, in the course of this I uncovered this photograph turned into a watercolour painting many years ago and abandoned.  Does it works? those of you familiar with Scottish art history will recognize more than a nod to Peploe.

Meanwhile a few boxes further down revealed a file on Park of Keir with  two posters from both campaigns– 25 years ago with the original SPOKE-

where the developer was asking for 500 houses  on this Greenbelt and th second campaign when Andy Murray would have been running around in nappies.
Now his mother, Judy Murray, wants to build a museum to him along with a tennis centre golf course football pitch hotel and of course – houses, now reduced to 19 on this Greenbelt .

But wait, once permission is granted for 19 as sure as night follows day – another 90 or more would follow.
