An Artist's Life

Winterlight

As predicted, the temperatures dropped, the leaves blew away, the rains came with sporadic sun, and most of the garden melted in the night frost. There are a few very hardy blossoms out there but they'll feel Jack Frost's bite soon enough. The wood is piled high next to the stove and we've now burned every night for the last week.
Tomorrow, I have appointments in Mizzoo, a lunch date and Dia de los Muertas! if it doesn't rain, we'll stay for the annual parade, which gets bigger every year...leave it to Missoula to love going ghoulish and foolish. Butte has the second largest St. Paddy's Day parade in the USA....only New York's is bigger - fact! But over here, we love our dead!
