A Play, A Pie and A Pint

A visit to the Lemon Tree today for a play, a pie and a pint. The Lemon Tree holds these events several times each year, and the offering is as described. Wine and soft drinks are available in place of the pint, but I stuck to the pint. The pie is available in both meat and vegetarian options, we had one of each. The play is fixed, only one on offer.

Doors open at mid day and we were pretty much there as the doors opened. Just as well as it must have been a sell out. All the tables were taken, and most of the seats, by the time the play started at 1 pm.

The pint and the pie were both very acceptable and the play, which lasted about 45 minutes was reasonably entertaining. It was a comedy set in a hotel in some foreign and corrupt dictatorship.

The photograph is taken as we walked briskly up the hill towards Queen's Cross. The church which I have featured before is now an office building.
