Eight Turns

There are eight turns around the wheel between Earth and Heaven.  Another view of The Valve's acme screw.  An acme screw has large, rectangular-profile threads, unlike a standard screw's more triangular threads.  That seemingly simple change in architecture means an acme screw is generally stronger, is longer-wearing, and can be machined to very fine tolerances.  And that concludes the fourth installment of "The Days of Our Valve."  Tune in tomorrow for our Holiday Special Show!
