Amira and Charlie

#1GD and #1GS were in fine form today at a barbeque skilfully prepared and hosted by #1D.  #1S, #2D and #2S were also there, so I was enjoying the first ever occasion of being with all my 4 offspring and 2 grandchildren at the same time. I've not seen much of Amira, and when asked if she knew who I was, she doubtfully suggested "aunty Amy?". It took a while for her to get her head around the fact that she has two grandmothers, and she did keep looking at me suspiciously while assimilating this information, a big thing for a two-year-old after all. After about half an hour of this she broke into a big smile for me and I was accepted. She even told Charlie I'm her grandma, to which he said "no! MY grandma!", so there was some dispute over ownership for a while, only resolved by a vigorous game of hurling balls at everyone from inside a bouncy castle.
Despite the sun today I just couldn't get warm, and was still exhausted from the tribulations of yesterday, so was rather out of it, so much so in fact that I forgot to take a photo of the gorgeous food Amy prepared - unheard of not to record a meal! A lovely day despite that.
