All the fun of the Fringe

Today marks the start of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the streets around Waverley station were heaving with people arriving from "down south" amed with their suitcases.

Taxis are no longer allowed to drive into the station ( terrorist threat) so I felt really sorry for folk trying to find out where the taxi rank is now located.  Many clearlry decided to walk to their destination armed with directions on their smartphones.

Anyway up on the Royal Mile the party was already in full swing, a taste of what lies ahead in the  next three weeks .
