Gondola Ride

A day in Venice at the end of our trip to Italy. I expected to be annoyed by the busyness and the expense, but actually really enjoyed my short time in the city.

We did the obligatory gondola ride. It was lovely. Very tranquil as these skilled operators piloted the long boats through the narrow canals, with water taxis all around. They don't feel very stable, but we ended the ride as dry as we'd started it.
