The Invasion of the Berberis Sawfly

Arrived in the South East of England in 2002 and now spread all over the country. If you have an attack,  the RHS would like you to report it so that can monitor the spread.  My berberis bushes were covered in leaves before I disappeared off travelling for over a month. I have returned to stripped bare bushes and lots of tiny fat caterpillars- the sawfly larvae. Now sprayed with Ultimate Bug Killer"!!!  I hope the bushes survive.

Tiny Tuesday hosted this month thanks to dbifulco
