I've been having an awful time with my lower back, leg and knee.  I had to stop physical therapy last week because I wasn't really making much progress.  That day, I lifted something heavy and buckled my knee.  I closed the doors and windows and let out a curdling scream. I later got a lump the size of a baseball on the inside of that knee..

I went to my orthopaedic surgeon today. If you've ever gotten a cortisone injection, you surely know that the more it hurts, the more the swelling in the joint.  Yikes!  It apparently was pretty inflamed.  By the time I got home from the city (and again carried something heavier than I should - just three boxes of soup), the curdling scream returned.  I took a Percocet then and one before bed.  I also put ice packs on multiple parts of my body.

I did manage to sleep until 11:30 Friday morning and  I am able to walk without a cane.  To say the evening was a freaking blur would be the understatement of the year.
