Landslide

The recent freak flash flood caused a major landslide just down the road from us in Bridge of Allan.

Now this "hole in the road" is a local tourist attraction with people visiting it armed with cameras.

It is not totally unexpected.
The area is riddled with underground streams and mine shafts.

And it was the reason why copper mining in the area was finally abandoned because of flooding.

Some astute Scots turned this potential disaster around and the foul tasting water was deemed to have medicinal properties and hey presto Bridge of Allan became a Victorian spa town.
