GIFTS

Had a lazy morning.  Watched the old film  " Whisky Galore " which I had recorded.  Seen it loads of times but it always makes me chuckle.   Then I stirred myself to do some gardening this afternoon.  Weather was nice again but not as warm as yesterday.  Made spaghetti bolognese for my tea.

My daughter Becky phoned at around 6pm.  We had a lovely catch up.  They have settled in well in their new home.  Buying furniture, putting up shelves, painting, buying plants for the garden etc. They take part in the ParkRun along the seafront in Hove every Saturday.   The commute is tiresome though but it can't be helped.

For Mothers day Becky sent me a voucher which I can spend to buy tickets for the Theatre Royal.  And Neil's gifts are shown in my blip shot.  A pretty tin which I will keep my chocolate treats in and a Rafa Benitez Newcastle United scarf ( Rafa is the Newcastle manager ).

So I have spent a quiet Mothers Day -  I haven't seen anyone or spoken to anyone - except Becky on the phone.  Just like most Sunday's really. Neil is taking me out for a meal later in the week when he has a day off.
