Fernbank Forest

How special.  Walked again through Fernbank Forest.  This is the largest natural forest remaining in a highly populated area in the country.  We used to take our girls there for walks  and science exploring for years but they closed it down because of finances.  It has recently been reopened and we were delighted to find fabulous trails.  Complicated back story  but the forest is also owned by our school system and is again being used for science education.  Such a treasure and 15  minutes from our home except rush hour traffic.
