Fields of vivid yellow

I hated these when they first blazed across our green and pleasant land. I feared they were a very unEnglish eyesore.

Some years ago, I found myself admiring a scene in Warwickshire as the bright yellow was set against a lovely blue sky. My views have mellowed, and I find myself accepting them, rather like sunflowers or the blue linseed.

Am I succumbing to fashion trends ? Or was I unfairly harsh in those early years.

Anyway, I stopped on my way to a meeting this morning. So rapeseed is today's blip.
