Every Picture Tells .....

Fujiko Nakaya at Tate Modern, London

WEDNESDAY

I've been spoilt for choice Blip wise today.

I was at the Supreme Court as the doors opened when Big Ben struck half-past-nine. I had the place all to myself and was able to look round the highest court in the land.

Then onto Westminster Abbey to see the Chapter House and Pyx Chamber, which is an English Heritage site. They let me in a few minutes before the doors opened at ten o'clock so again I had the place to myself.

Then down to Birdcage Walk to see the Irish Guards leaving Wellington Barracks for the Changing of the Guard ceremony. Rather than stand behind the 6-deep tourists outside the main fence I positioned myself on the opposite side of the road by the gates and had a front line view of the passing guardsmen (see extra).

Then a walk up to Horseguards to see the Blues and Royals taking over the mounted guard from the Royal Household Cavalry (see extra).

This afternoon I walked over to Tate Modern to see the Fujiko Nakaya "London Fog" exhibition. I thought I had missed it until I saw a note on Blip by MaggiePye saying that it had been extended to 17 April.

Heading to Pharmacy2 restaurant this evening and then over to the Tall Ships at Greenwich tomorrow.

27,084 steps so far.
