Vintage bonanza

Well, I set off to buy plants this morning and came home instead with half a china tea set. Oh dear! and we are supposed to be downsizing.

I blame it on duff information from friends who assured me that today was the day of the annual plant sale in our local village hall.

Instead when I got there it turned out to be a big Vintage event in aid of Strathcarron hospice.

Well I have always had a sneaking desire to own a delicate china tea service something I have always been very sniffy about in the past regarding them as old fashioned.

But hey! these teacups are now back in fashion in teashops (or so I am told) so maybe I could indulge myself with half a set.

M is less than impressed with this new addition and wants to know where they are going to be stored since they are certainly not going to be used everyday.

Blip pic: Carol, a volunteer in the Falkirk hospice shop, cut a striking figure in her cowboy outfit. I don’t know if this helped her sell more stuff but it certainly made her stand out.
