The new Cabinet...

A simply wonderful evening celebrating the incredible Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards 2017 winners at Bute House, hosted by the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

It was such a thrill to have them all reunited and to see how much the recognition, gratitude and thanks expressed by the FM meant to the young people and their families and support workers.

There was even a wee stint for them all at the Cabinet Table, with the FM assigning Ministerial Portfolios and asking what policies they wanted to propose - much laughter and some serious messages from the young people there too.

A night to remember for them all - and a night that reinforced for me the pride and hope that young Scots give me every day - incredible.
