Sita-earthquake victim- Kathmandu

OK I am stretching the Blipfoto rules here but I hope you will agree with me that it is for a good cause.

(Also, I have returned to Scotland to find  we have no internet connection. Talk-Talk, our provider, has disappeared.  Their helpline is in South Africa and despite calls since last Friday M has failed to get any help.  We are now in the process of switching to another provider. Which?  magazine tell us that Talk-Talk is bottom of their list in consumer satisfaction. Meanwhile I am working out of our local library in Bridge of Allan which is excellent.)

Yoga teacher Aileen Davidson from Blairgowrie took this photo recently of Sita, a teacher, whose home was devastated by the 2015 Nepal earthquake
leaving her family homeless and her husband paralysed.

Aileen is just back from Nepal where she worked with First Steps in the Himalayas, - Beyond the Clouds, an international relief agency .

She was part of a group helping to build a new school in a remote village three hours walk from Kathmandu.

They were so touched by the story of Sita that New Zealander Katey Lane launched a crowdfunding appeal for $15,000 dollars to help Sita buy some land so that they can build a home for themselves again and provide some medical assistance for her husband.

So far it has raised nearly $5,000 dollars.

This is the link to Facebook which has an excellent video of the project:
