Gardener's World

Every two years, the local Horticultural Society organise an open garden event for charity.

We were one of thirteen gardens open to the public, with cream teas, and lunch and beer dotted around the villages. Local people ran the car parks made the tea, served lunch and sold programmes.

Throughout the day we had a stream of delightful people visit. Over 150! They said nice things about her 'work in progress'. I finished the crossword.

We raised getting on for a thousand pounds!

And I wasn't even aware that people visit open gardens as a hobby!!

Enjoy your garden, I wish you peace.
