Grumpy

Well, I think it looks grumpy!

Linaria michauxii, a dwarf species from the Zagros Mountains in Iran where it grows on open, rocky slopes in full sun.  A toughie but one that might not thrive outdoors in our maritime climate.  This is another plant raised from seed distributed by Gothenburg Botanic Garden.  If I get seed from it I might try it on a sunny raised bed next year.

Another decent summer's day.  Workmen added a drainage channel at the bottom of our concrete wheelchair ramp.  It will end the puddle jumping required after heavy rain :-)  I got to the allotment for an hour and planted out Borecale and Calabrese.  Great to have another few days off form watering after heavy rain recently.  Jamie's had a quiet one but is currently baking chocolate biscuits with marzipan in the middle which required egg yolk but not white ... so some macaroons will follow - Yum!
