Templeton's on the Green

This magnificent building overlooks Glasgow Green. The facade, designed by William Leiper, 1888, reflects the facade of the Doges' Palace in Venice! The building was designed and built as a carpet factory for James Templeton and Son, for the manufacture of Templeton's patented spool Axminster carpets.

It was another very busy day with many places visited and much culture (music, art and photography) enjoyed.
