it's that time of year, and this is a 20 year anniversary.
i have been thinking about her today so will not wait for the actual date.
i remember being woken around 6 am by Daisy, telling me that Diana had died.
we left Lulworth later that day to lay some home grown flowers at Kensington Palace. i’m not really sure why i thought it was important, but it was.
Diana became an icon for those times. I would never have guessed it from our school days (i was her house captain), but she had a vulnerability that made the royal family more accessible.
i hope her sons follow in their grandmother’s and mother’s footsteps.
i feel sure they will.
(this is a screen grab from a documentary - processed to some sort of Hopperness by me)
