Friend or foe?

Yesterday was a great photo opportunity for us all and I am putting together a slideshow of some of the people there.

Meanwhile, Nick Pidgeon, a member of our group has already put his video up on Youtube of the Park of Keir  walk.

I love the bit where we have a Highland piper leading people from Dunblane, home of Andy Murray, on to  Park of Keir to show their strong opposition to his mother, Judy Murray, wanting to build a tennis centre there as his legacy.

Met a friend this morning who reckons Andy Murray’s legacy will be an executive housing estate between Dunblane and Bridge of Allan.

This is just what we fear. Judy Murray’s dream will, we suspect, turn into a white elephant after a few years.

After all, what chance has a £12 million tennis centre on a windswept mountain in Scotland got of succeeding when the National Tennis Centre at Roehampton, with an investment of £50 million, closed after seven years?
This point was put to Judy Murray by one of the lawyers during the Public Inquiry and her reply was that she “believed in it”.

And the reason given by the Scottish Government for overriding all planning regulations is that the Park of Keir tennis centre was of “national importance”.
