The Horse Problem

Placed in a shed at the end of the Arsenal I almost missed
this white horse frozen in mid-air sculpture.
 
It’s the centrepiece in the Argentinian Pavilion of the Venice Biennale.
 
Made by artist Claudia Fontes it symbolises the role horses have played in our history.
 I found it  one of the most startling and beautiful exhibits there and, as far as I could see, it had received little publicity or media coverage, unlike Damian Hirst whose publicity material was splattered all over Venice.
