Ferry across the Gironde

This the car ferry, or 'Bac'  approaching Royan. The ferry links Royan with Pointe de Grave on the tip of the Gironde peninsula.
The alternative is a long drive further down to Bordeaux and then back up the peninsula. I'm pleased to say the weather here is a very pleasant 19 degrees C and forecast to rise to about 23 degrees tomorrow. Rather better than the weather we left behind in the UK.
