That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.

Well, maybe not so much for mankind, but definitely a big step for me. The concrete path to the apartment has seven steps which can be avoided by walking on the grass (dirt) however, there is a step to enter the building that is completely unavoidable. This step was my foe for the last couple of weeks. Getting down wasn't an issue with the walker, but getting down on crutches and getting up has had me stumped. It is said a normal step is 150mm in height, this step is 225mm and the tiles on top are a little uneven and slippery, hence my nervousness.

Today Anne the guru Pyhsio showed me some techniques to conquer this step. Getting down on crutches, solved, quite easy now. Getting up the step also solved, moderate level of difficulty, but more importantly, this step no longer stops my progress in getting around. The added benefit of these new techniques is conquering a set of stairs for the first time, up and down an entire flight. Also used the electric scooter to go to the movies.

So another day of progress, now I am tired.
