Here and Now

The Wood Doctor is in

Tony is here today to fix, among other things, our dining room door. I discovered the door several years ago in the attic under a thick blanket of dust. I was delighted to see its beauty and condition and wondered why it had been squirreled away.

We hung the door between the dining room and kitchen to keep our now dearly departed cat Sweetpea from waking me in the early morning hours.

One side was coming loose so Tony is securing it today so I don’t have to keep slamming my hand against it to coax it back together.

I don’t know why the extra loads sideways and can’t figure out how to rotate it.
