A different point of view

It's been a good day today, with plenty of sunshine after a frosty night. I spent a couple of hours outside sorting out my crated plants and putting the most vulnerable under the eaves of the house.

Around three o'clock I decided to go off and climb Cnoc Carnach, known locally as Battleship Hill, a small hill above Dunollie. The hill is now mostly bare, the trees having been cut down during the 1st World War. As I climbed, the sun began to go behind a bank of cloud and by the time I reached the summit it was hidden! Typical - I should have gone earlier. The town was in total shadow. It did pop out a couple of times and light up the ground to the north of me and the snowy hills  of Morvern, but it was obviously settled in for the night and the wind was bitter, so I took a quick photograph and went down!
