Balancing the books

This is our neighbouring town of Cardigan's community bookshop called Leafed Through. The books are all donated and sold at reasonable prices. The shop nicely arranged and staffed by volunteers. I usually have a browse around if I'm in town but today was the first time I met someone who explained how it works. It's a bit like our waste food cafe (now deceased):  people's surplus/unwanted  books are delivered or collected, sorted and priced,. Overheads are low (rent and heating mainly) and the money made from book sales (£7000 last year) is divided up between several local charities and non-profit enterprises such as a youth project, food bank and wildlife centre.
I would love to have a community bookshop in our town. I wonder if it would be possible?
