Starling.

Starlings or "Starkies" as we used to call them when kids are fairly rare in our garden and even rarer on the feeders.

More snow over night now a grand total of 12 cm so we are getting of lightly even compared to some local places.  However the council seem to have given up trying to keep the roads open.  I did venture out for a wander into the middle of the village but the roads looked bad.

So disruption Katkatkat & G are stuck in Edinburgh as yet unable to join us (as they were going to today) for our trip on Solace.  We can't set off early tomorrow as a) the roads probably won't be open and b) Sainsbury's yesterday declared the village inaccessible and cancelled the internet delivery.  Inaccessible!  The roads were OK.

I have again spent much of the day looking out of the window.  This Starkie fighting to hang on to the feeder was my most interesting shot of the day.  The beak suggests ti is a male but beaks aren't always exactly correct.
