OD Pavilion

Before the city of North Myrtle Beach was formed by combing several small beach front towns, an area was called Ocean Drive.  Other nearby were Cherry Grove, and Windy Hill.  One of the dance clubs still goes by the name OD Pavilion.  It  is open front, open-air dancing (shagging) and beach music.  After a very brief time on the beach this afternoon, I wore a light jacket, since it was so windy, I went into the OD Pavilion which looks deserted in winter.  The photo above shows one of the many signs surrounding the dance floor.  The extra photo also shows somewhat unique signs and the Church of the Lost and Found stills meets there.  If you want to go to YouTube and search for Midnight Allie (a singer and band) you can see clips of their performing.  Also if you search for beach music you will have many choices to see.
