Dredger no.5 at Bowbridge, Cotswold Canal

Can you tell I work in nursery and am gradually turning into a small boy?

I didn't see the Impressive Augustus Gloop dredger today, the one I blipped on 26 February, but this smaller one that had just been brought in. It was raining hard-ish, and the boat that he/she was attached to was covered with a tarp. No dredging was taking place. A bit further up, near a bridge, a horrid muddy trench had been dug, and a duck board pathway laid down for walkers. Only trouble was, a caterpillar trick was driving up the path! I squeezed past it, and wished I hadn't made the decision to walk along the towpath, because the puddles today were enormous, and I really didn't want to fall into the canal while skirting them!

I got to work in the end. My scart lead had somehow got wrecked, so I couldn't show the DVD I wanted, despite having brought my own player in.

Back home, I waited for a call from some people I was hoping to house sit for. They didn't call. Eventually I realised that they hadn't even viewed my last two messages, so they probably weren't going to. Strange! So I contacted another interested party, and arranged to spend a week of my Easter holidays in Surrey with two cats. Now I am worried I will be bored/it will be too expensive, and wishing that the first (seaside apartment) people had phoned.

The grass is always greener somewhere else.
