Desperately seeking

Brougham Castle

We had about a centimetre of snow this morning, I was feeling brave and ventured out in the car. (The first winter after passing my test I crashed a car in snow so I'm a bit of a wimp, but older and wiser and now have a 4x4.)

Anyhow, I went out and got some shots from a favourite viewpoint, including pics, which i will email to the council,  of 3 dumped double mattresses on a country roadside.

The Man hadn't anything in his camera so, in the afternoon, we went for a look at the repairs to Brougham (pronounced "Broom") bridge which had been damaged by storm Desmond in 2015. It was repaired at a cost of £750,000 and reopened last November. See his blip of the repaired buttress, if you wish. It matches the shape of the other, in the background, perfectly.
