Bear bones meet dancer

I received some good news at the hospital today today when I attended my post-op appointment: my cancer is not invasive, so there is no need for a second operation. I will meet my oncologist next week to start the next phase of treatment - hurrah!

However, I could have happily missed having my wound 'drained'. The doctor syringed a tea cup full of Ribena-red liquid from the affected breast. This procedure was rather painful!

Katharine and Jack invited us out to an auction this evening at Lyon and Turnbull. Here art work was being sold to help fund the Hidden Door Festival in the summer. Prior to the bidding we watched a modern dance display. It was not really my kind of thing (not enough lyrics), but nevertheless made for a good blip from my position next to a skeleton of a bear.

Exercise today: post-surgery exercises; walking (14,445 steps)
