Paws for thought

For years I have said Taz had some wildcat in him.  After all he was big- weighing in at 6 kilos – long- 3ft from nose to tail- and he had attitude- as many vets can vouch for.
Sadly, he is not.
 
Last night the local branch of our Scottish Wildlife Trust had a guest speaker who was an expert on Scottish wildcats.
 
He said the most common characteristic, which rules out any wildcat genes, are white paws.
And Taz has four.
 
Anyway, Scottish wild cats are in the news today with the discovery of the biggest wild cat ever seen and it's recorded on film in Aberdeenshire.
